BACK CREEK CHRISTIAN IS STILL IN OPERATION. FACULTY AND ADMINISTRATION CONTINUE TO WORK HARD TO ENSURE OUR STUDENTS' CONTINUITY OF LEARNING.
In planning for the Fall 2020 school start, BCCA is choosing to follow the American Pediatric Association recommendation that "all policy considerations for the coming school year start with a goal of having students physically present in school." Additionally, BCCA is committed to reconvening school in the best and safest manner possible. Broadly defined, those procedures include (1) limiting class size to avoid space crowding; (2) maintaining social distancing guidelines; (3) implementing thorough cleaning and sanitizing procedures; and (4) requiring face coverings for teaching staff and students at the appropriate age. School leadership believes that these guidelines protect students while honoring the broadly defined orders of the state of North Carolina. More importantly, we believe that this course of action honors our Heavenly Father and his heart for our children and families. Please know, however, that this is still a fluid situation that we are closely monitoring. Any change or shift will be communicating to the BCCA school family as quickly as possible.

4/7/20 MESSAGE FROM HEAD OF SCHOOL
Dear BCCA Families:
As you are aware, our approach to the current need for distance learning has been to continually assess the situation and, if necessary, extend the suspension of on-campus classes in two-week increments.
Most recently, we remained hopeful that we might return to campus after Spring Break. At this time, however, we recognize the need to continue distance learning until at least May 4.
Because we were able to implement our distance learning program at the start of our time off-campus, we will be observing Spring Break as scheduled. Students will not be required to log in or complete new assignments April 10 – April 19. Coursework will resume Monday, April 20.
We continue to hope and pray that our families remain safe, and we remember in prayer those who are feeling the many effects of the current crisis.
Please find ways to enjoy and appreciate the break and time with your family, and remember to help those in need when you have the opportunity. Above all, during this coming Easter week, remember that the Savior has overcome even death. Christ is Risen!

3/29/20 MESSAGE FROM HEAD OF SCHOOL
The dedication of a teacher to a student is the promise of a better tomorrow.
Ten days ago, our Back Creek Christian Academy teachers courageously shifted education from the classroom to the laptop intent on giving students and families a real learning experience. They have worked non-stop since day one—learning new online platforms, designing lessons, collaborating instruction, and tailoring instruction to meet the needs of all students while being sensitive to family constraints. They are the same people that come in early, stay late, and go the extra mile for our kids. Their faithfulness inspires, their love motivates, their commitment brings hope.
When the time comes, these students will emerge as better learners, better leaders and better believers because their teachers cared for them during this time.
