Morgan first came to BCCA as a junior, and her favorite subjects are English and Art. During her time at BCCA, Morgan has worked on the school yearbook and participated in the Drama class’s spring production. This year, she is serving as SGA President and working as a teacher assistant with Mrs. Crowell’s first grade class.
Morgan’s favorite memory at BCCA is her first day as a junior when she met another new student – Ashley Grundy – who became Morgan’s best friend. Morgan has made lifelong friends who will keep her in check and always be around for her, and she will miss Mr. Rose’s math classes the most.
Morgan has been accepted to Appalachian State University’s program in Birth Through Kindergarten Education.
Ashley first came to BCCA as a junior. Her favorite subjects are English and Art, and Ashley especially enjoys having helped produce the school’s yearbook during her junior and senior years.
Ashley’s favorite memories of BCCA are school trips where she and her friends have drawn closer together. These opportunities for greater friendships, as well as occasions for growing stronger in her faith, are the most significant effects of her time at BCCA. Also, Ashley is grateful that the people at BCCA are welcoming and friendly.
Ashley has been accepted into Southern Adventist University and plans to work with young children.
Ngan (Mia) Pham
Mia is originally from Hanoi, Vietnam, and came to BCCA during the second quarter of her junior year. Her favorite subject is Math. During her time at BCCA, Mia has helped produce the school yearbook and participated in the spring production. Before the start of the 2017 school year, Mia also helped arrange a welcome event for international students. Additionally, she has spent the last two summers working on projects that serve underprivileged children near her home in Vietnam.
Mia’s favorite memory of BCCA is the time she spent working with other students in the school’s spring production of Peter Pan. This was an opportunity for her to make memories with new friends who share her love of the performing arts. Additionally, BCCA has helped Mia develop stronger faith in God and greater respect for the values of others.
Mia has been accepted to Drexel University, the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. She plans to study Computer Science and Business.
Justin has been at BCCA since the 6th grade, and his favorite subjects include Christian Apologetics and World History. During his time at BCCA, Justin has participated in the Drama class and served as a member of Beta Club.
Justin’s favorite memories of BCCA include school trips, debates with Mr. Branch, and spontaneous life lessons during classes with Mr. Rose. While Justin values the joyful atmosphere and the academic excellence of BCCA, he is most influenced toward a deeper understanding of the history of the Christian faith.
Justin has received acceptance to Livingstone College and Shaw University. He plans to attend Livingstone, pursue advanced degrees in ministry, and serve as a minister.
