“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” Mark 12:30
The spiritual growth and development of our students is the number one priority of our teachers and staff. We believe that spiritual education is essential to fully developing our students. We want them to consistently make God honoring life choices that are governed by the inspired, infallible Word of God. Below are just a few of the ways we share the Gospel with our students and how they share within their community:
Chapel is an integral part of Back Creek Christian Academy’s mission to instill within our students’ education Christian beliefs and practices. The students gather weekly for corporate worship where staff and students lead in praise and worship. The Lower School chapel presents the Bible in fun and exciting ways that communicate the Word of God so that they can understand and retain what they have heard. The Upper School chapel participate in student lead praise and worship, games, and small and large group teaching times.
Upper School Chapel
The 2016-2017 spiritual emphasis for Upper School is Stewardship. The purpose of having a spiritual emphasis theme for the school year is to help students grow in their ability to apply Biblical truth to their relationship with God and their Christian walk. Students will have the opportunity to learn about the topic of stewardship as it applies to all areas of life.
At Back Creek we believe in serving the community in which we live. We not only help our students discover their God-given talents and purpose, but also we teach them to put them into action. Each grade level serves in different philanthropic opportunities, so that students obtain a desire for Christian service and develop a giving spirit. Some of the opportunities our students have throughout the year are: Bright Blessings • Adopt-A-Highway • Adopt-A-Stream • Food Drives • Backpack Buddies • Book Drive • Visiting local Nursing Homes
Everyone has the potential to lead. Back Creek students get to serve their school community on multiple levels. Whether it’s showing younger students the ropes, helping them with reading, working on an art project, or on the basketball court our students are involved in the lives of others.
